Under the leadership of our Director of STEM Innovation and Education, Rabbi Setton, our elementary and high school boys engage in weekly STEM lab sessions and have numerous opportunities to participate in after-school STEM clubs.
The elementary school STEM program is driven by problem-solving, discovery, and exploratory learning, requiring active engagement from students to find solutions. Emphasis is placed on computer science, programming, robotics, and the Engineering Design Process, promoting hands-on learning experiences that enhance students’ natural STEM abilities. Integration projects that combine STEM and technology offer creative and innovative ways to solve problems and apply learning from both the General and Judaic studies classrooms. Additionally, the curriculum incorporates Digital Citizenship skills and concepts.
Building on this foundation, our high school program allows students to use the STEM lab for cross-curricular projects in structural and mechanical engineering, physics, rapid prototyping, 3D printing, computer science, and robotics. We also offer a robotics elective where students can join a team that has garnered awards in local and national robotics tournaments.
